You might start contacting zoos or the national organization zoos belong to for some help in bringing public awarness of the penguins plite to the public through communication.

I was wondering what it might cost me to have one of your creations visit in my classroom. Every year I do a unit on penguins and we read the book "Mr. Popper's Penguins", there is a Captain Cook and a Greta (they are both penguins) who are important to the book.
It would be a joy to use the internet and penguins to help create communication experiences for my students.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Dear Susan,
Please do forgive me for not replying to you sooner but I have been up to my neck in it. I have had to move out of my flat in Bristol and back to my parent's until I fly off to Oz on April the 2nd. I have also been trying to sort out the final details of the trip and the final details of the website.
If you are still interested in hosting a penguin then it will cost you nothing but I may not have time to make helmet and boots for the penguin for the trip so I cannot guarantee what state they will be in when they arrive! All it takes is a bit of sellotape and time to patch up any cuts and bruises caused by the journey.
If you are still interested e-mail me back asap with your address and I will see what I can do(March 28th is the latest).
All I ask is that you give the penguin a good home and document the experiences that it has.
Speak to you soon, hopefully
Take care
Guy

Guy,
I am still interested, how big will he be? I have an igloo made at school (I make one every year out of gallon milk jugs, it might be just the right size. It is big enough my students can sit in it to read.
Thanks for the reply,
good luck with the move and all.
Susan

Susan,
The penguin should be just the right size to fit in your igloo. Generally the height is about 12 inches tall, so if one of your kids can fit in the igloo then one of my penguins definitely can.
Let me know your address and I shall post one off to you next week.
all the best
Guy
