Ferdinand
the penguin left Wales on Saturday the 18th of November, 2000.
Ferdinand will become a research assistant for Jamie Morison who
works for the Polar Science Centre at the University of Washington
in Seattle.
From Seattle Ferdinand will be travelling to the North Pole to
begin important enironmental research. This part of the journey
will begin some time in March, 2001.
I will be updating this page as soon as information comes in.
In the meantime further information on the work that Jamie and
his colleagues do can be found at http://psc.apl.washington.edu/northpole/,
this site is updated so often that it is virtually real-time information.
Ferdinand was featured in the February 9th edition of the APL
Newsletter, to view that newsletter you need Adobe Acrobat
